Bilayl Earrings

A riff off the geometric pattern of the Kimya earrings and studs, Bilayl (meaning at night pronounced bih-layl) these symbolize memories with family/friends in the village at night. The way coming together in community to play a game of tawleh late at night, listening to oum kalthoum, drinking a finjaan ahweh (demitesse of coffee) transmutes our feeling of isolation into community, belonging. What are the memories in your bones?
